Tires for high HP turbos?

I just got my new wheels in and time to get some tires, the retailer offered a package on the PS2's but am concerned with traction at the crazy HP/Tq levels (1kph+)I will have when I get the car back from Protomotive. I am curious what tires others are using, I have heard the R888's and NT-01's are really the only thing to run for maintaining traction.

I have been advised to get 205/30-19 and 235/35-19, I am RWD now.

Advice?

thanks!

Stick with the advice you've heard. Everyone I know with crazy HP Porsches around here are running either of those tires.

I will 3rd R888's but also want to give a notible recommendation for Hankook R-S3's

NT-01's are still very much a street tire IMHO. Compared to the serious autox/road course street legal tires out there I mean.

Wow, quick replies :-) I ordered the R888's this time around, but would be interested in the R-S3's in the future. The 888's UTQG is 100 and the R-S3's are 140.

The Proto-beast is slowly coming together :-)

If I can ever sell my wheels, I will also be purchasing a set of R888's!

I hope you got something wider than a 235, isn't that narrower than stock? FWIW, I can spin rear 225 width star specs with under 300whp (as long as the center diff is set to full open, basically rwd). I'd imagine you'd want a 300+ width tire in the back.

Can't wait to see how this car turns out though, should be a monster.

Whats up Chris!? How have you been? RWD now I see. Sounds like fun! R888s are like gumballs so cant go wrong there. BTW...might be moving to Saudi Arabia. Going to PM you with some questions.

Ooops, that's a typo, should be 305 rear. Yeah, I am definitely looking forward to it, working with Todd and Cyn has been wonderful but I am ready to have my turbo back :-)

Though I would share a pic of the ADV1 5.2.1 wheels from Wheels Boutique that the R888's are going on, the color is the gunmetal silver.
