Black wheels on a Turbo S and Exhaust recomendations?
#12
Not a fan of black wheels especially on a black car, too "murdered out". Also because I can't tell what the hell I'm looking at until I'm two feet away. If you want a more aggressive look, go with a gunmetal finish.
As far as exhaust plenty of people here are qualified to give suggestions. Helping my friend look for one for his dad's 996TT and he's leaning towards GMG's set up, though I don't think you'll be disappointed with anything you mentioned.

Exhausts are soooo subjective. You really need to try and listen to them in person - not online. If you live in a good Porsche area, go to an event and listen to others. That was not possible for me as, in the Pittsburgh area, you can go for months without seeing another 997 let alone a Turbo with an aftermarket exhaust. I had AWE and it was perfect for me - not too loud yet you certainly knew it was there. Lots of great ones out there. Just make sure what cats they use because some can throw a CEL. Perhaps somebody with more knowledge about this can elaborate.

No black wheels. If you want to paint them do the gunmetal as on the GT3 (the standard RS Spyder wheels have too bright a paint IMHO). For exhaust, AWE is perfect. Sounds like a GT3, just quieter, and with that turbo spool! It speaks with force and beautiful resonance instead of just volume.

This is the best link I have found so far...

But from what I see they have only made an exhaust for the 997.1
The 997.2 turbo will sound much different than the .1 with the dfi engine. Cargraphic makes a beautiful sounding exhaust for the .1 but the one for the .2 with its valve control sounds like crap.
Go with Europipe...!
