I would be a fan of the work only if there was some function behind it. So far it looks like another rendition of Japanese aesthetic craze.

The 996 seems to be a better RW conversion. The egg headlights really flow well. I think the problem with the newer cars are that they are larger with bigger wheelwells and seem to sit "on top" of the wheels instead of the wheels integrated in the profile.

Not sure if this makes sense. IMO the whole RW style is predicated on the car being really low, wide, and hunkered down.

Not saying it won't work but the older 964's and such take to the conversion much more naturally.

Edit: Look at the beltline on the black RW versus the RSR, they are both slammed but the beltline on the older 911 appears to be 3-4 inches lower. The higher beltline is whats making the 996/7 renders look poor.

I love the Rauh Welt style, but Ive been told now by several people who also saw the cars in person, that the kit is extremely flimsy, and not put together well. At 18k just for the kit ( not installed, no wheels etc) fiberglass for that matter I would expect it to be flawless, yet on the pictures I saw the panels are extremely wavy, the arches have huge gaps between the fasteners holding them onto the wheel arches etc..

Im also beginning to feel that these kits may look best on the older 930/964/993's

This car was built in Charlotte NC with M3 fenders all around and took about 3 months. I have seen this car in person and the craftsmanship is amazing. The shop that did it is called Import Paint and Body and they are top notch. The car is based on a GT3 and after an unfortunate mishap at the track after only 153 miles the car got a big makeover.
