There are forged 20 inch wheels available that are even lighter than the HRE 19s.
A 20 inch solution can certainly have similar driving performance to the 19s.
The greater consideration is tires. There are very few really high performance 20" tires available in the correct sizes.
We sell a lot of 18 inch wheels for 997s, even centerlocks. Not because of the weight (there really is no difference), but because of the wide selection of tires and compounds available in 18 inch, especially in Europe.
