Car you had always wanted to drive but let you down?

Has to be h20skier's Speedster. Shesh. I snuck out to his garage one night and took it for a spin. Revved the hell out of the cold engine in first and all I got was a sour clutch smell and a mechanical knocking noise. Leaked oil from the transmission and under the engine after that too. Had to call my buddy Jamal to help me push it back into the garage, because that junk just stopped working.

For me it would have to be the R8 (V8) and the 360. When the 360 first cam out I was excited to drive it. After driving my friends 360 for a while I was disappointed with the power. It felt like the M5 had more ooomf. It handled great, but I was expecting it to be faster. Same for the R8. I drove the R8 and realized that an M3 and a 135 could keep up with it and possibly pass it, that did it for me. It handles great, but it has no soul. I drove a 6speed and the flappy paddle one; the flappy paddle one was terrible esp compared to other flappy paddles. Perhaps they fixed it now.
I drove the R8 V-10 and I loved that, it felt as if the car finally found it's soul. They should have never made the V-8.

QP is one I forgot about. They are a horrid Tank to drive. Just about every sedan on the market is better imho
Just my .02, but JPCourt let me drive his LP640, I would say that was my let down. Maybe it was his too, seeing as though he upgraded to the SV. It felt like it a anchor swinging behind it when turning. Oddly enough it also felt like the front end had 5.0 wide wheels. Again just my .02
Not that I've not spewed this all over the internet for years.
I will say that 9 of 10 people that ACTUALLY drive a Lambo will feel exactly the same way about any of their creations. They drive like tanks. My first 50 miles in a Murci I was tired for a week. They all have poor visibility and There is a solid reason NO Lambo drivers track them. They are all about being seen and not driving. If they were drivers they'd own something else. I will say those 640's and 670's can spool up and fly in straight line but it takes 1 corner to lose one in the mountains
Lambos capture attention for shock and awe. Skittled colored and all they gather attention from the kids like the Ice Cream man.
I hope one day they make a car I enjoy driving. I'll keep trying them out.

Kind of like a Harley. Kind of quick in a straight line, NO cornering ability, but loud and shiny. Skittled colored or chromed it gets your attention and makes the owner think he is special. Meanwhile I'll be out crushing a few dozen corners in a real, respectable sports car.
