PDK is boring. Like Arling said, on a Panamera or Cayenne it makes sense. For a 911/Cayman/Boxster, the involvement of shifting is much more entertaining, which is a huge reason we buy these cars in the first place. People can bang on and on about how great manual mode is, but truth be told, I don't want it. I want to challenge myself by making a deft 3-2 downshift. I want to be able to clutch in and coast sometimes (or put it in neutral and coast). Like I said before, PDK is great commuters and for people trying to get those last seconds on a track.
My next sports car of whatever manufacture will be a manual.

Are you trying to be ironic? Ferrari has officially lost me as a potential buyer by excluding manual transmissions. If you are a huge proponent of manual transmissions, there's no way you should be cheering Ferrari.
