Well, in the mean time , we managed to do it. It is much simpler than the 997. The control modules ar the same, so they don't need to be changed.
You need a new rear bumper, but be ware for the parking sensors. The old ones have different supports. Diameter is the same. You will need the taillights, and all the trimings on the Boxster S bumper. I will make a post if anyone is interested.

i must say though, i remember running into a guy when i was in an independent shop (not the AD) who had a red turbo with newer LED tail lights (i think they were mostly clear though?) and the mechanic fixed the fast-blinking of the turns in less than 10 minutes
so did i observe something totally different?
anyway please post up more pics of the rear out on the streets!
