Every few years we're treated with a new version of The Incredible Hulk in cinematic form. Thankfully the most recent rendition was tolerable, mostly due to the casting of Edward Norton and Liv Tyler. No matter how little the plot can change, it's easy to argue that a movie is a hit based on the actors in it which is really no surprise. Which brings up to Vince's Porsche. Leading up to this past year's SEMA show, we followed the build up of Vince's Porsche, which like the newest Hulk flick, brought together some of the most brilliant minds in the industry. Vince, owner of the ever successful iForged wheel company, along with Mobil 1, BASF and Artisan Performance, just to name a few, combined brains and brawn to make this one of a kind car. Its bright BASF Glasurit Porsche 997 GT3 RS Green paint screams homage to the Hulk and the attention this car grabs respectfully deserves the comparison.
Vince's Porsche started off with a crazy conversion in the aesthetics department. The front and the rear was treated with a 997 conversion along with a custom wide body, converting the front .5-inch wider and the rear a full 1-inch wider. Techart goods then contributed to decking out the exterior with their GT Street bumper, carbon fiber front lip, rear bumper, carbon fiber rear diffuser, decklid and wing, side skirts and rear window spoiler. Very little was left untouched on the exterior of the Porsche prior to its fanciful paintjob, including all new 2007 Porsche Turbo taillights, mirror conversion and Litronic Bi-Xenon headlight upgrade. Once the BASF Glasurit paint was laid on the body, Vince knew that the car was transformed and the power had to back up the looks.
That's when he turned to the brilliant minds at Artisan Performance, equipping his Porsche with a 650hp turbo upgrade package. Fully equipped with 997 turbo intercooler, a Softronic Upgraded tuned ECU and 5-bar fuel pressure regulator, the drivetrain handles all the force with a SPEC Stage III+ racing clutch and lightweight flywheel. Fabspeed then came into the mix with a set of the headers and exhaust, which leads out to a stylish set of Techart exhaust tips.
This wasn't enough for the Porsche project however. Knowing that it'd be represented in the Mobil 1 booth at SEMA, plenty more would have to make its way to stand out in the crowd of cars. Suspension and brakes were next on the list, and Vince didn't think twice to equip it with the best of the best. KW's Variant III coilovers found their way onto the chassis along with Brembo's massive six-piston front with 15-inch cross-drilled rotors and four-piston rear with similar 15-inch cross-drilled rotors. The calipers were dipped in a classic yellow paint to really stand out on the bright green body.
Being the owner of iForged, Vince knew he had to pull out all the tricks for the wheel and tire setup. He customized up a set of 20x8.5 / 20x12 three-piece Neo wheels with a color scheme that fits the rest of the car's style perfectly. Vince opted to wrap the wheels up with Toyo's Proxes T1-R with a 245/30/20 up front and a massive 315/25/20 in the rear. Nothing was skimped on the interior either. A plethora of carbon fiber goods can be seen along with a plenty of in car electronics from Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate and Lightning Audio.
