Adding a stock CD CHanger in a Porsche 996TT

I have an '02 Porsche 996TT and have come across a CD changer out of a '99 996. Will the CD Changer out of the '99 work with the head unit in my '02?

If so, I assume my '02 is pre-wired for the CD changer, correct? What will I need to complete the installation? I believe there is a mounting bracket specific to the 996TT for the changer-any one know the part number?

Thanks in advance

TT, C4 and C4S have different mounting brackets than C2's. Don't know the part number but dealer should be able to tell you.

I think you are better off getting a changer for your car instead of trying to rig this but i think it can be done as both changers are CDC-3. 99' is quite old so test it while driving if you do buy it to make sure it works without a skip.

I bought a '99 996 that I'm turning into a track car. It was equipped with a CD changer, so I already have the changer. What I'm wondering about is the wiring in my 996TT, is the wiring needed to connect the unit already there or do I have to buy a harness of some sort? The changer worked fine while it was in the donor car...

Thanks for your response
