We got the engine up in the car last night and the techs are installing the Monster Intercoolers and associated hardware.

Should be running in a couple hours and we will start with the road tuning process.

GT-R P800<997 SPI P750<Veyron

the question is would this keep up with the veyron before it reach its inferior top speed?

a simple road test like this one would give a great idea

The P800 GTR is practically even with the 700/750 Tip. It was .013 seconds slower at the end of the mile than the P800.

This car should, and I say that loosely because I do not like to bench race, but it should break into the 9's. Only time will tell at this point.

both are extremely close but that OLEG's GT-R is like no other P800, i can only imagine the R911S GT2 Carbon beating the veyron in a rolling start before it runs out of speed...

I don't know where this idea came from, but Oleg's GTR (when it was all Switzer) was an off-the-shelf P800 kit that was HAMMERED day in and day out all summer on the stock driveline. The main difference between Oleg's GTR and the other Switzers (at the time) was that his was a 2010 with LC2, and he was not afraid to launch it.

Any P800 client can expect similar performance.

YouTube - Bugatti Veyron 360 km/h

YouTube - Unlim 500+ Bugatti Veyron vs Nissan gt-r 35

good luck with the turbo P800 it should be much much faster than either P800 & P750.

Here is an email I received last night from the owner of this beast:

After a few runs I beat Dimas record (SPI750 Tiptronic) - 10,274, then Dima beat his old and mine - 10,252 and at about 4 a.m. I set a new Porsche record in Moscow - 10,201 and 129 mph trap, that run I used brake and hand brake and started at about 3 000 rpm 0-60 ft was 1,472 sec. And it was in +26 C.

I will make a video of this run on YouTube soon.

Thank you guys, good job.

I think the 911hp R911S GT2 would be pretty close to beating it, no?

911hp, 3000lbs. vs 1001hp, 4486lbs

Bugatti Veyron

0-300 km/h -> 16.7 seconds

If you can beat that with the GT2 then your packages might sell better than bread.
