B9R Hitting 70mph in First Gear....Video!!!

Decided to go and try a first gear pull today for the heck of it

Thanks for sharing - what are we looking at here ?

Is the boost gauge not working ? Is this a special long first gear ? It doesn't look very fast ~9s to 70mph ? What am I missing ?

I'm assuming it was a partial throttle vid just to show the length of first gear.

TurboArt: That gearing is amazing! 0-70 without shifting should make short work of anything!

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Just wanted to share a quick pick at the speedo rising up to 70mph in a 996tt in first gear.

So you are just at part throttle ? is the boost gauge not working ?

Yes, it was part throtle with a HWY patrol in front of me while coming into HWY. I have external boost gauge. Wish the boost gauage would register 2.5bar

We disconnected it b/c it would not register above 1.7/1.8 bar.
