New TT, 0-60 in 3 seconds. Freaking unbelievable.

I think its a riot, when a F car does the sixty in times like that people are like "OmG that's soooooooooo fasstt! So quick! " "the KING of cars!" " I can't believe it!! " I must rape and pillage for that car!!"
But when Porsche does it: it's a couple of Star Trek nerds clapping in the background.
Let me let you in on a secret: The Porsche 997 Turbo will DESTROY your Ferrari and do it with HONDA Civic reliabilty. OH and btw, after a 1m miles, you can turn it into a Blender for year to make Margaritas; then back into a Porsche.
Do THAT with your Ferrari.
Humph!

With all due respect, no one buys a Ferrari for a lap time or reliability. Ferraris and Lambos are bought because they are silly/grandiose and supercar owners are really just little boys at heart. When I'm willing to spend 200-300k plus on a CAR, sensibility is not a word in my vocabulary.

And it's safe to assume if someone is spending $150k+ on a Porsche...uhmm. ya...they could buy a Ferrari at $300k as well.
... and MANY Porsche people are lilttle kids at heart. I've personally witnessed all walks of life, Neuro Surgeons, Big Attorneys, Business Owners, And CEO's all act like KIDS the moment they take delivery of their new Porsche.
It's wonderful!

But my point still holds water; why do people act like it's a huge deal when Ferrari acheives such numbers, but barely blinks an eye of what Porsche acheives with a mere 385hp C2S Coupe, let alone a 500hp PDK Turbo.
It's bizarre. LOL

Lets face it, it's hardly surprising that a 500+ HP lightweight car with PDK that has been refined and improved upon since the 60's can achieve silly numbers.
As for your clame that people hype Ferrari's more than Porsche despite the Porsche being quicker I think it has more to do with the fact that Ferrari offer more of a visceral driving experience in regards to looks, sounds and exclusivity.
