Switzer SLEDGEHAMMER - new dyno numbers

As many of you know, we've been exploring the limits of the stock 997 internals for some time here. Yesterday, we tried out some of Tym's theories about the 997 on the dyno with Sledgehammer, our original project car that made 850 whp a year ago ... more details later, but for now, I thought I'd tease you all with the latest dyno graph.

Enjoy!!

Awesome Jo. Is that on 100? If so what does this engine do on 93?

This is mostly the same hardware being used on the P800 kit that's been written up on Autoblog, TTAC, and others - with different engine management.

On 93, the cars will run 700+ wheel all day long.

Porsche worked hard to flatten the torque curve and bring peak torque down into the 2XXXrpm range and you guys strap on a pair of massive blowers to give peak torque at 5750rpm ? quite what is the application for this ?

Impressive numbers but hardly useful for anything short of dragging...... I love it

Is the Sledgehammer drivable as a daily driver? While impressive, the curve would make me think the car is very punchy?

when we give rides in Sledgehammer, people first think it is stock car. the car drives and idles like stock when you are not on the gas. but when you put your foot it in, the g forces are so massive that your eyeballs start to go the the side of your head. it is unbelievable how streetable sledgehammer is. it was built to be the ultimate street car.
