The new Porsche 911 Turbo aka (997.2 TT) will have the new DFI 3.8 Liter Engine (Direct Fuel Injection) producing 500 HP, Center-Lock Wheels, A PDK (Porsche Double Clutch Transmision) option. That's what i managed to gather up. I doubt Porsche will change anything regarding the that car until 2012 i guess. I might be wrong.

No, Turbo S was 444hp (440? 445?) GT2 was 456. The X50 had 450 and had same running gear as GT2 if I recall correctly, I do not believe the Turbo S did which is why X50>Turbo S imo
Yup, that's what I remembered as well...the X50 package was about as rare as the S, and it was more desirable.

I'm guessing (with no education backing it) that this will be 515-525 hp...would be interesting to see a S Cabriolet...I'd put that on the shopping list...

I'm hearing there are some fall builds for the '10 Turbo (not S), but Porsche will not release the coupe until January. Anyone else hearing this?

Speculate then: if the Turbo coupe shows in January, the Cab would be right behind, then the S in the spring. Would that be the end for the next 12-15 months, while a new design is in the works...or would you expect this iteration to carry for '10 and '11?

X50 and Turbo S packages were identical. Only the name changed.

Not true my friend
I can most likely furnish the X50 sticker for you, and may be able to get a Turbo S sticker.

I can also talk to a tech tomorrow for the differences, but as I recall the turbos and CACs were different at the least.

I am 100% positive X50 horsepower was 450 and Turbo S was in the 440 range. I do believe it was 444 or 445.

Really? If I recall correctly, X50 hp was 450, S was 444 in the US. I believe the X50 package was unveiled in Europe as the Turbo S though. But it has been a few years since I looked at the specifications on a new 996TT, so I could have my facts mixed up - my mistake if that's the case.

X50 was designated as M96/70E...444 HP. From my 02 996TT/X50 manual, page 206:

Hmm, I will have to check the X50 sticker and manual when I can - I am referring to an 03 car, for what it's worth. Not sure if it's different than 02? I could (and often am) wrong though
If that's the case I apologize!
