My son and I went to the Cars & Coffee meet in Irvine, CA this past Saturday. It was a very nice morning. We had not been in a couple of months. The lineup was pretty good and the crowd was great - a lot of nice people and in a good mood.

My car was dirty so I parked her in the side lot. We took a lot of nice still photos and some video footage. I will post up the still shots a bit later. For now, check out this video I put together.

What do you think? That vintage 300SL Gullwing was almost hard to believe. It looked like it was brand new. What do you think a car like that is worth?

The lineup was very vintage on Saturday. There was a slight chance of rain. Any time it threatens rain all of the modern supercars stay home.

We will go again soon and shoot more vids. I also have some great motorcylcle stuff I will post up. Oh, and stay tuned for the still shots!! My son had a great day with the camera rig.

I thought about some AC/DC but it just didn't fit the mood. It was kind of a mellow day. Besides, that song (by Jazz Guitarist Nils) is called "Pacific Coast Highway" - kind of fitting, eh?

That's one of the best clips I have taken in a while. I was actually waaaaay on the other side of the parking lot and had to use my zoom lens. That's why it got a bit shakey at the end.

That cop sits there every week now and gives out a dozen or so "exhibition of power" tickets. Spectators can no longer sit on the grass opposite the exit any more either. But the crowds are still huge and the car lineup is really great.

Yeah. But you will always have Broadway, A-Rod and the South Bronx.

 

The 300SL Gullwing is a 1953, mint condition with 17,000 miles. Original EVERYTHING! I wagering that car could touch $700,000K.

 

So jealous seeing the nice weather and nice cars. All I see here is snow and winter beaters. But fenway is looking better as the days go on
