One thing everyone should note - if you are at a major retailer with your P-car (or other), and you get back to the car and see damage, go back in the store and speak with the store manager.
You would be very surprised what can be recorded on those large overhead bowl-type cameras. If you're close enough, they can even see who did it, maybe even a description of the vehicle.

I can't deny that I love red cars. Just not THAT red car!
Also, that is a great suggestion to go in and ask the manager if you can view the security tapes. I never even thought of that. I may drop by tomorrow and see what I can stir up.
