re: people recognizing the car... most people in the Porsche "community" (which generally also includes owners of Ferrari's, Lambo's, M-cars, etc) are aware of the car, know what it is, etc.
i guess the reality is, in a country like the Philippines, we all pretty much know each other, because the "community" is relatively speaking, quite small.
HOWEVER, for i'd guess 99% of other enthusiasts (and that means owners of Evo's, Subaru's, Honda's-- as with most other SE Asian countries, Japanese manufacturers dominate the market,) the car is "just another Porsche".
Let's face it, here as elsewhere, a 911 looks like almost any other 911, to regular people. and by regular, i mean people unlike the typical TeamSpeeder-- myself included-- who have better things to do than obsess over whether those new droopy taillights are a good thing or bad!
