about tiptronic ecu

We've tried my friend's 997tt's tiptronic ecu on my car before for some reason and at idle it seemed to work fine, but we did not drive the car.

Would it cause any damage to car if we try some runs on my car with his tiptronic ecu?

thanks.

ECU coding could vary depending on year, options, and model. I would not take a chance.
