Ok This Might Sound Crazy But.......

As you know i am trying to unload my 07tt and replace it with a 996 tt and get a bang for the buck. My dear friend Dr Jim is trying to sell his 996 red turbo which i know for a fact is a well kept car and will CERTAINLY with all the mods give me a similar ride with power, etc as my tt. I would seriously consider buying his car but would want to paint it black since i want blk and not a fan of red......the deal would be so smooth but i need feedback on what will be the downside, long term of painting the car, esp for resale in 3-5 yrs.........i am serious here!

If you're serious, then my suggestion is HELL FVCKING NO, YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT. If you're hell bent on black, get the car professionally wrapped.

If you paint it, it's going to kill the resale value, that's if anybody would even want to buy it.

if the whole point is "bang for the buck", why would you do something that would obviously destroy resale value? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Wrap it, or enjoy the red.
