I'm, of course, biased. Since I'm not familiar with "wrapping", I'll assume it is some form of reversible coloring when done right, and is akin to having clearguards put over as paint protection? I had the front and some areas done to the car when I first got it, and the cost for that some 6 years ago was over $1000, as done by one of the best. I'd imagine this "wrapping" would cost as much as a proper paint-job, maybe more? Anybody who's done it or knows someone who has more info for Bill & myself please.
Now on to his question of painting: World-class collector cars and restorations of all kinds are often painted time and time again, with no effect on their value. This car obviously won't be a highly sought-after collector car and anyone who buys it and worries about resale doesn't know WTF they are thinking. Most of the money is already out of these cars and they aren't going to fall too far too fast anymore. They are still Porsche Turbos and that WILL ALWAYS mean something. If the owner after Bill likes black and appreciates the car for what it is, and DOES NOT WORRY about what may go on years from then when, if ever, that person decides to sell it, then who cares? Plenty of cars change hands over the years and when somebody really restores a car for the first time, they change the color. I understand this is not ideal but doubt it's far from the catastrophe most of you make it out to be. Unless the price to do it right becomes prohibitive, that is.

Wrapping can cost around 3-5K. A true color change is around 10K.

The High End Cars you see painted are often wrapped not painted.

If I were you, I wouldn't paint it. You stand to lose too much money.
