Thanks DJ,....I do love my car and it's treated me extremely well. We're approaching our third anniversary and we're still in the honeymoon phase.

You should pm Teutonictrio... he should be able to advise you on tracking a boxster.

Do you have to spend 150K on the turbo? Why don't you trim down the options significantly and take the car home for 125K? Cancel it and re-order a stripped down version if you must. The C4S is no sloutch, but it is NOT a turbo. I would not consider a wet sump as a track car, bound to have some trouble if you push it too hard.

My feeling on the TT is that if I get one, it's going to be a real keeper with all the little options that I think are cool.
I do worry a bit about a wet sump and I am seeing oil temps around 250 on the track versus 225 on hot 'street' days. I was thinking about adding the "third radiator kit" to my car before next season.

You should look into turning your mom's car into a spec Boxster. Tons of fun, fairly cheap and very competitive.

I'm gonna start doing some light reading about how to do this.

Great decision Dave! Always wise to save money if you are at all uncertain. And the track can be addictive (it can also cost more than a new Turbo if you are not careful!).

Overheating is not the problem. it's oil starvation. A third radiator will help with cooling for sure, You will need to source the X51 / motorsports oiling upgrade ASAP if you plan to seriously track the car.
