Porsche Turbo vs Porsche GT3
#16
oh hi guys,
that's my video... i was driving the GT3, my girlfriend was taking the video. i weigh around 145 lbs, she weighs around 100 lbs... my friend in the Turbo... probably around 230, so not really much difference, even if he didn't have a passenger.
as for passing on the shoulder, yes he did, and yes technically its a no-no, but in this case, was quite safe because:
1) guy he passed was our friend (in as some have pointed out, a Murcie), who knew what we were doing and with whom were in contact with via mobile phone the whole time. in fact he also did a highway roll-on with both Porsches in separate videos;
2) no other cars on the road anywhere near us;
3) perfect visibility, no cross streets at all (elevated highway), etc...
we did a number of pulls with the Turbo, and the results were pretty consistent. i did NOT have the sport button on at the time of this pull, but it wouldn't have made much difference to be honest.
both cars are completely stock, and the Turbo is a 6speed. having said that, my car has over 4,000 miles on it, whereas the Turbo only has around 1,500 miles on it. So that engine is still very tight.
Hope this helps!

why was the lambo in front of the tt if he knew you guys were racing. safe or not, i would never drive on the shoulder just because of all the crap that gets tossed on the side of the road.
i actually thought the gt3 would have hung a little better. my next porches will be a gt3.
