I believe he's referring to entering destinations an whatnot while moving. You must be stationary while doing so, and yes it will be operational while in motion that's kinda the point

Marien is an unknown quantity at this point
Probably just a wire from your handbrake or something that tells the nav that the car is standing still. Easy fix to have the garage disengage that. Or maybe it's just a software change that resolves it.

Nobody that drives a Ferrari cares about nav. It's not worth it

Who cares about where you're going? When you're driving a 458, you've already arrived.

But yeah, on a serious note, get the NAV. I've rarely driven a car that I've regretted having NAV in, even with the worst interfaces.

You can't enter a new address unless you're standing still. On top of that - the system is not very user friendly.

I'm sure you can mod it to work better-- but after spending 300k on a car - why should u have to?

I have the NAV in my spider but never used it, the same with the stereo system...never turned it on. But the dealer would always suggest you include this feature when ordering your car for better resale value.

To be honest, every time before I take out the 458 I've already mapped out the route in my mind.
