^Hopefully the orignal owner simply didn't want them... Were I to have been in his/her shoes, that's what I would've done. I think those cars were over-badged so to speak

They said the original owner had them removed but they have them and they can be put back on.

I thought the factory badges (shields) are inset so how can they be removed without leaving a defect ?

Just the shields. The 16M badges aren't inset.

I have my own opinion but please give my your thoughts on this.

I have a mint '08 Rosso Corsa Scud with 6500k on it

This is an '09 16M with 13k on it (one owner) which they claim is in excellent condition (?)

What exchange would you consider a good deal ?

Your scud, assuming all carbon stuff plus 40k would be a good deal.

Edit: be aware that 458 spider list will be about current asking prices for 16M's, so that will put a little downward pressure on the 16M.
