Out of curiosity/ if you don't mind my asking, why leery?

Anything else that'd be low mileage. I find it very odd that in the US people don't really drive their cars but prefer to preserve them - great example is the handful of FGTs on the market with 1k or less miles, even a few ultra low mileage Scud (lowest I have come across is 75mi). In Europe currently there are a couple ~10k and up mile F40s for sale, including a 42.5k mi car (Classiche certified as I recall).

Fortunately the 16M is an 09, but beyond 5yrs old and under 5k miles I'd be getting concerned about the condition of hoses and other components from sitting.

Absolutely agree that it is a unique way of thinking that only seems to apply to these exotics.

13k on any other car would not warrant a second thought.

For one, it is the fact that the Scud I would be giving up has half the mileage so I would be trading 'down' in that aspect. Most Scuds/16M's I've seen are under 5-8k miles

Secondly, once the car is out of warranty expensive "wear and tear" items will start needing to be replaced once a certain mileage range is reached and 13k may be near that range ?? (tires, brakes, clutch etc)

When you deal with Ferrari pricing, mileage is an important factor. So I understand rocketman's concerns. The car is probably in great shape, but would have been more valuable $ wise if it had less miles.

My original question is still on the table.

Assuming the car is in great condition...

How much is it worth with 13k miles and what would be a fair spread for trading in my Scud for it ?

alter responded above. I'd be inclined to believe he is well-versed on the subject.

For sure. It just depends on the approach you take to this particular car.

Do you see yourself holding onto it for a long time/do you prefer the 16M to a Scud?

I don't think Ferrari covers wear and tear items do they? Either way, a PPI would definitely be necessary and it's important to factor all of that in to the purchase price

In the interest of keeping it short/OT for the matte 16M I'll send you a PM

Mileage is a factor on any vehicle - not just Ferraris.

40k + your car is a great deal, your car +50k would be the threshold. 4200mi car hit auction in Palm Beach 2mos ago for $178k so true wholesale is going to be less... They will prob hit you at 172-175k on your car, given that it's Naples they may go a tad higher.

I think that 16M is worth 10k less than asking.

Walter nailed it

Although I can only dream of ever affording one of these, anecdotal musings suggest driven Fezza's perform better than garage queens.

Although I personally like that blue, be aware that your resale audience will be limited.

Looks a lot like the 16M that belongs to a neighbor of my parents and I really hope he didn't sell the car. I remember he traded it for a 458 right when they came out and gave the 458 back a week later for his 16M.

**** me I want a 16M so bad.
