What's the general perception of the 16M?

Never driven one. Good info.

I was also surprised and disappointed. It does look cool though.
The cars here with those windows don't sell well. You can also not retrofit proper windows easily. You need a whole new door and you have to take out the entire dash to install the electrical switches.

FLAME SUIT ON:
IMHO neither car is truly THAT special. The 16M IMHO is exclusive due to its limited production. That is all. Ferrari made 3500 Scuderias. How many 16M's are out there - 400? How else can u explain the $75K premium over Scuderia's. Its obviously a great car but like you said... Its Ferrari squeezing some profit out of a last year model. Finally... I personally don't like the looks of the F430 and the 16M highlights the design flaws more than a coupe.
The CS absolutely beautiful. The lines, the seats, the wheels... everything about it is graceful. It has aged very well and by most considered much better looking than the F430...... BUT then you drive it. The F1 transmission is 2 generations older than the 16M's and it shows. It is probably something you wouldn't really notice if you didn't have a Scud/16M next to it to compare against. It isn't that quick. It felt much slower than that my GT3.
Either way --- Good Luck. With cars like these... the process of narrowing down your choice and finally getting YOUR car is the most fun.

Probably 2500 scuds made and over 500 16m
For the world isn't much.
Unlike or like em they are a fantastic car and your MP4 in the pic would sell 20,000 if they had the market so why care about how many made?

A friend of mine works at Ferrari. He said about 700+ 16M were built. Same goes for the 599GTO.

F40's as well. At least 25% more.
That's good I guess as they have the market but the cars shouldn't read 1 of 499. It's a lie.

My local F car dealer has sold 15 New 599 GTO'S, in comparison the were allocated only 3 16M's. This would suggest GTO production was 'quite' high!!
