great work on the performance and sound!

But the tail pipes look wrong imo...

it looks good on a Ford GT but the 458 looks better with pipes in smaller diameter

I don't mind it but I do prefer the three pipe setup. Then again, I don't recall the last time I even looked at the exhaust on my own car so its not a huge deal haha.

Chassis dyno are extremely unreliable. Only real way to tell what this motor is doing is on an engine dyno. Are you suggesting you are gaining around 100 crank HP on a NA engine from an exhaust bolt up? I understand Ferrari isn't using the best exhausts due to the emission + noise regulations, but 100hp gain on none boosted motor? Yea right. Not believing that unless you got engine dyno sheet(20k chassis dyno is SUSPECT).

I like the dual tips compared to the three of the stock setup

Hello Ramius,

No offense, but the info is clearly written in the post. We saw a gain of 67 whp with Fabspeed headers, catalytic converters (200 cell by HJS), sport mufflers, and ECU tune by Evolution Motorsports. It is a big gain... even bigger than expected, but certainly within the realm of possibility. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

Jeff

+1

I've always found the tri-tip set up a bit silly looking.

Chassis dyno's are NOT unreliable as a matter of fact. of course nothing will compare to an engine dyno but pulling engines out of these cars is completely unrealistic. Depending on the type of chassis dyno you can accurately determine CHP and WHP. that has been proven. Are you aware of ANY parts manufacturers that are using engine dynos? I'm not. And what does 20k chassis dyno mean? Are you referring to the cost of the dyno itself? if so you are WAY off my friend!

I hope this doesnt sound like an attack on you but the claims you made in your post are completely unsubstantiated.
