16M with Capristo headers + tubi exhaust??
Hi,
I just installed the Capristo headers last week and it sounds great. but still feel that it is too quiet at low RPM. I am thinkinkg about the Tubi titanium exhaust but worry about that it will becoming way too loud. some of my friend also suggest me to use the Captisto exhaust. does any one has experience with this?
Tks

To be honest I am surprised the system is that quite for you as the Capristo's I have heard absolutely scream, with that being said do you think the valves may not be opening for you? I believe a few members have their scuds set up with the valves open all the time, maybe they can chime in on this soon!
Any pics of the 16M? It's one of our favorites around the TEAM!

I believe it was an OEM switch borrowed from the 360 to manually open the exhaust valves.

I will send some pics when I am home tonight. I have a black in black one with yellow calipers. do you have the Capristo exhaust? I only have the Capristo headers. I thought about opening up the valve at all time too but will that caused losing hp?
thanks for your comments

DL,
That's not mine, just a video I found on youtube that sounded amazing INMO. Member Atomic80 did a post a while back regarding the valves as mentioned above, he's west coast time but I'm sure he'll hop on soon to fill you in.

Since you are in NJ you may enjoy this event on the 23rd of this month BTW.

All you have to do is pull the vacuum tubes that operate the opening and closing of the valves. Tie them off with some plastic ties and plug the holes of the vacuum tube with the appropriate sized screw or a golf tee.
This way the valves stay open all the time and it sounds great.
Personally I think the car feels quicker this way as well as sounding better.

Dealer can do it quickly if you want to listen to the exhaust all of the time.
My favorite part of driving my cars is the change in exhaust when I hit the throttle. You lose that when it's always open and the low rumble change goes away. I don't like the Mod myself.
