F458 Italia Headers: HUGE power gains!
Fabspeed 458 Italia Headers
Big power gains!
Ladies and gents, I am offering a special for a short period of time on our 458 Italia Sport headers. These headers (like all Fabspeed products) are made by hand, in house, in the USA! They are Dyno tested and proven to make power or they do NOT go into production!
These particular headers are one of the best "bang for the buck" modifications you can do to these cars. The specs are as follows:
~ Fits all Ferrari 458 Vehicles 2010+
~Fabspeed headers improve power +34HP/38 ft-lbs of torque @ 5900RPM over the stock manifolds.
~Fabspeed headers save 13 lbs/5.9 kg over the stock manifolds.
~High quality, 14-16 guage T304 stainless steel equal length primary pipes for maximum power.
~Equal length headers with F1/IndyCar style high velocity merge collector.
~Fabspeed header tubes are 1.875”/44.5mm for more power and sports car sound.
~Direct simple replacement bolt-on for stock OEM headers.
~C.N.C. mandrel bent with C.N.C. machined flanges.
Here is a comparison photo of the stock mani's vs. Ours:
One of the unique and most notable parts of the design are the merge collectors. Here at Fabspeed we use F1/Indy car style merge collectors. In a standard collector, the primary tubes are cut off flat and dump directly into the collector. In our merge collectors, the primary tubes are sectioned and merge into a cone shape before the collector necks down to its minimum diameter. This design helps to shape the flow of gasses and improves the transition from the primaries to the collector, reducing the effect of the change in area on velocity.[/SIZE]
Below is a picture displaying the Fabspeed Headers and the difference between a standard collector and our merge collector! The pictures really do speak for themselves.

Ours:
After designing the headers we installed them and tied the car down on our DynoJet. The results were phenomenal (gaining 34HP/38 ft-lbs of torque @ 5900RPM):

Impressive gains.
I just don't understand how ferrari, with all its technical prowess and F1-based experience in engine design and engineering, not to mention the price of these cars, didn't design a similar header for the car.
Kudos to Fabspeed for figuring out what the ferrari techs didn't.
