I just passed by the Dealership, asked the salesman and he told me he thinks it will be out on the road by May next year.

Cant wait to see it, I think its going to look better than the coupe.

 

My guess Is longer, it may be out in may in Europe. As a dealer we have heard and seen nothing. After it is revealed it will be at least 6 months to order them build them and until you see a car on the road in Europe. Figure another 6 months for us delivery. Considering we usually get sneak peeks a few months early and it is almost June then the reveal will be no sooner than late fall and I think that is optimistic.

Also it is more than likely habit will be a new model altogether and not a 458 Italia spider. If that is true then tooling and Homologation explains he long time frame.

Folding hardtop. Unveiling this fall, production start right after new year holidays. First EU deliveries end of Q1, UK deliveries start of Q3, not sure about US, but probably in between. Just like the coupe - launch fall 2009, first EU deliveries from Q1 2010 and so on. Expect also some tech improvements to make the 458 stay ahead of competition. Was said that the final product is going to be amazingly stunning.

Where is the hardcore coupe version, forget the spider lol.

 

There's a chance we won't be seeing it at the Detroit Auto Show. We don't get to see as much as we used to, the economy hasn't helped at all.
