Amazing mod! Do you think this will work on an f430 coupe or is it just for the scuds and 16ms?

I heard That the only problem with this mod is That you lose some of the low end torque When the flap is open all the time. Anyone know if this has any truth to it?

 

I haven't noticed any loss of torque in the low end with the flap open. I've tested it with the flap open and closed.

 

I'm sure this works with a solenoid inline with the vacuum hoses that go to the muffler. With the switch on the solenoid would close causing the valves to have no vacuum to keep the flaps closed, and when the switch is off the solenoid opens and lets the air in for vacuum to close the flap. Pretty simple if you know how to wire a switch and solenoid (much like a nitrous purge valve).
