I am pretty sure that it isnt an over fueling issue, it was just something i would offer up as an option. I am sure there is something very simple that is causing it!

I post what I wrote on an other thread some days ago:

A friend (Ferrari owner) told me that it's often a problem with headers!

They change the original exhaust with an aftermarket exhaust and forget to put on the headers the "heat protection"!

Thanks man! I miss my 996tt too...a lot of time, effort, and money went into that car.

How's life on the other side of the country?

The dealer picked up my 458 this morning to do an "open campaign" kit installation (not a recall). Couldn't really explain in details what this new kit would do and made no mention about if this has anything to do with the recent incidents. From what I've gathered so far including talking to people that witnessed the first incident here locally in LA, the fire seemed to have started in the engine bay...not the gas tank. And it was during normal driving...no collision involved.

It Sucks!!!!

Conversation with a co-worker today....

Him "Man, I can't wait to go to this car show cause they say there will be a ferrari there"

Me "you ever driven or been in one before"

Him "No, but I saw one once!!!"

It's just a different world, I'm adapting. Will be a good place to raise a family when the baby comes. Just a completely different world

But I miss the beach.....a lot

I'll bet you it's the fuel line touching something hot.
