I'm in the same boat as you john. I haven't bothered to order a 458 despite the hype going around it.

I'm waiting for the Scud/CS version to see if I take a liking towards that.

 

Don't waste your time on the 458,

You just have to get another supercar, how about an Enzo or the next Ferrari special car.

 

Skip the 458 and get a GTO.

Done deal.

 

I concur with you John. Saw two recently......one just completely plain jane and the other not that much better. Although the interior was full of carbon fiber it just seemed too futuristic. Too over engineered. I regrettably say the same about the exterior as well. That front end just absolutely ruins this car for me.

That said......please don't yell at me when you see one in my garage! j/k

As Mike said.....lets see what the spider and scud version looks like. That might change everything.

 

Keep your 430 Scud, sell your 996 GT2 and get the GT2 rs.

 

I think it might be complicated looking, but I couldn't find anything else.

 

I'm with Mike S, i would wait for the scud version if i was you. it is guaranteed to look more aggressive and cooler. plus it will have better lasting value.
