One of the first 430's I ever saw was a black coupe - I can't get the beauty of that out of my thoughts....
My neighbour (who changes cars even more frequently than me) just got a Z07 and did a flat treatment on it. The real life experience is less than the pics.

I've always wondered, how hard is it to maintain the matte black finish? How do you protect it if you're not putting a clear coat finish?
I was also wondering how hard it is to maintain the stainless steel part of the RR drophead coupe, or of the main body of the Veyron Pur Sang. Any owners of either feel free to chime in.

Flat paint is still clearcoated. There is an additive you add to clear that will cause it to dry in a matte manner.
