I haven't been on this site for long but I can't imagine where it would be without D55L.

 

Anyone have any knowledge of who would be taking deposits to at least get in line to purchase a 458 Spider when they start becoming available ??

Makes perfect sense of course... Maybe I should have asked the question a different way? Are dealers currently taking deposits for the Spider and has anyone here actually put a deposit down on a Spider ?

 

Wow and when I thought the 458 was amazing but the spider is total sex. Can't wait to see it at the dealership.

 

The ordering for these cars will open up in a couple of weeks. dealers have "mock up" ordering guidelines for now. From what I was informed there are only going to be approx 200-300 cars coming to the USA on initial kick off. The people who are wanting these cars are already offering up to $100k over sticker!! An ave sticker is around $230k for a well equipped model. After the first inital drop of these cars, I was told that there will be about a 2 year wait for the next "available" unit. So if you are considering purchasing one of these, act quick!!! Good Luck!!

 

I don't think they can until they have an allocation. They will have a list & give you dibs though.
