Yes, I went through the option guide thoroughly when I ordered mine. 
Okay, it's possible it's an option, but until we see one with it or have the option confirmed, my point remains the same that the poster above me likely misunderstood CF sills for an unpainted plastic strip.

It is now possible to order the side skirt in carbon fibre on the 458. You can opt to leave it all exposed like the 16M or have it painted with just the sill part showing. You can also get the front winglets and rear diffuser in cf now. Here are the relevant pages from the ordering guide.

Nice, thanks for update. When did these options become available? Any delivered cars with CF sill?
