A ride in the 16M

You should move to western new york, there are NO good cars. This WHOLE YEAR I have seen 1 gallardo, and the only reason why I see a f430 a lot is because it is in my good friend's garage (his dad's). 1 azure, and then some guy who works on my route to school who has a bentley cont. GT.

Yea, it is a glorious thing. It is a good friends on mine from when I was younger and his dad and I would always sit and talk about car/ferraris. I go over the day after it was delivered and his dad is like, come see what I got in the garage.I had figured it was some new lex truck because I am always giving his bs about how he should have a range rover. I was speechless. It was an RC/tan spyder, F1, CF, Daytona leather car. He showed me every gizmo in the car, the delivery shots, the information they gave him, then we went for a drive. AMAZING! The sound of that car does not even come close to the sound on video (which is awesome), you can feel it!! I remember it was at night, and we just went for a short ride and when we got back to his house his neighbor on the otherside of the neighborhood (in good fun) called and was like, "are you out in your car again?
" That is how good it sounded. Then he tried to pull a fast one on me (well not really, but I caught it before he told me about it). A little less than a year later, I go into the garage to get in my friend's truck, and all of a sudden do a double take, something wasn't right. I look at the car, he got a new one! Upgraded to a 2008 spyder from 2007, but this had ceramic brakes (and iPod connectivity). Truly an epic car.

That's awesome! I agree, even though the video sounds great it just cannot compare to how it really sounds when you are in it. I remember for about a week after my ride, it took me awhile to fall asleep because i kept reliving the ride. Even now, I still drive my car sometimes and in my mind I try and envision that I am driving the 16M

No kidding, Jon. I heard about the ride that these guys gave you afterwards. I can't say enough how much of a stand up these two are. They're my friends and I've had the opportunity to sample these delicious cars many many many times before. Heck, I find myself very close to F-car ownership all because of Kuzi. Andrew has already made the jump and I suspect that I won't be too far behind. And yes, I know this is a very old thread but I just came across it recently thanks to Jon linking it from the other thread I started.
I remember the day Kuzi threw me the keys to his F40 one day and followed/led me along in his 550 Barchetta as clear as it was yesterday. That was the only time I'd driven the F40 but it will go down in my memory banks as the best of the best. The 16M is just....phenomenal. I drove it through the tunnel and punched it. I felt as if I'd just been punched hard in the stomach by that overwhelmingly aural experience. I had to do it again, and again and yet again to make sure it was really happening.
If you ever find yourself back in Seattle, we'll have to go for a drive again. I should have my F-car by then.

JT, great write up. I am still awaiting my first Ferrari drive, but I vividly remember my first Ferrari ride. I mean a 16M following a F40..how freakin' awesome is that!! Also, I am hoping to make it up to Seattle sometime this year. I am off to college in August so hopefully I can make it up before then. If not I will try and figure something out and hopefully I will get to meet the whole PNW gang.
