Scuderia Campaign (C/F in engine compartment)

For owners of a Scuderia, there's a current campaign regarding the discoloration of the C/F in the engine compartment. I checked my car and sure enough there's major discoloration. I'm told the fix will be new c/f engine compartment panels and new heat shields. The current heat shields are very small and I'm told the new ones will be much larger and will be hand bent by the dealer techs to cover more of the c/f. As for the discoloration up in the middle of the engine compartment, it seems like they don't have a fix for that yet and will probably end up replacing the c/f again? I'm told by my dealer that I'll be the first one to have the c/f replaced. Love being the first...not. I've attached pictures of both sides so that other owners can see what it looks like. Hope this helps.

I was definitely going to request to keep them both (I was thinking the same thing). I'm hoping they don't have to send them back to Ferrari but I fear that they will. I take my car in next Wednesday so I'll find out then and let you know.

Thanks for the heads up JJ. Did your dealer contact you or vice versa?

The dealer actually contacted me and asked my to check. It's FNA campaign #307. The campaign said to just check the right side but obviously it's both sides of my car. I'm taking the car in next Wednesday and will post follow up pictures of the new heat shields and fix.

Here's a picture of someone who has already had the fix under the campaign with a new larger heat shield.

Wow... At least there taking care of it, and have contacted you, instead of you having to contact them. My bet is they will have to send back for refinishing.... But if not, cool memento!!

You're probably right. The cost to buy the panels from an after market company is $5k - $7k. I guess that means Ferrari charges close to $20k. If they can re-purpose the panels, I'm sure they will.
