Ultimate Revenge Against Front Porch Package Thieves!

Picking up This Package Will Give You the Scare of a Lifetime

We’ve all ordered car parts at some time or another, and since most of us have normal jobs, the joy contained in a cardboard box is usually waiting by the front door when we get home. Unfortunately for one Tacoma resident, thieves had a habit of stealing any package that was sitting on his stoop. That’s when he got creative.

TeamSpeed would like to be very clear on one point: don’t do this. Putting a shotgun shell blank in a booby-trapped box is something I’m sure we all would dream about doing, but it also serves as a way to make an annoying problem even worse.

Now that that’s out of the way, Youtuber Jaireme Barrow rigged up a bait system for the thieves. Strings are the triggering mechanism, which sets off a 12-gauge shotgun shell blank the moment it gets lifted away from the ground. As you can see from the reaction below, it’s a very effective means of protecting your own property.

This is not a solution we recommend, though. To be on the safest side, make sure that you have delivery confirmation, and a required signature before any parcel service just drops more car parts off at your house.
