New Video Shows Supercar Pack in 100+ Mph Highway Chase
Reminder: Treating your local interstate like a race track will land you in hot water with the law in no time!
Owning a supercar is oftentimes difficult. Aside from crazy maintenance bills and endless adoration from onlookers, you also have to somehow drive it normally on public roads. This massive tease often proves to be too much for supercar owners, and more times than not lands them in trouble with the law. And that’s exactly what happened back in April 2016 when a dozen supercar drivers found themselves in legal hot water following a 100+ mph jaunt down I-394 in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Police alleged that the drivers left an exotic car meet at Morrie’s Luxury Auto and hit the interstate, weaving through traffic at high speed in a scene that looks like something straight out of a Fast and Furious movie. The pack, led by a lime green Lamborghini, was eventually pulled over after a state trooper clocked the Lambo going 110 miles per hour. Some of the drivers tried to take off, but were later caught at a local gas station.
Making matters worse, the incident gained national prominence on social media. As the drivers headed to court, the Minnetonka city attorney’s office released video of the incident to the public. The footage, posted by Star Tribune, shows the whole thing captured by Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) traffic cameras and a police dash cam.
