Snowman Crashes Lambo into Wall on Christmas Evening!

U.K. soccer star Michail Antonio smashes $260,000 Huracan, safely emerges from wreck wearing snowman costume.

Most snowmen have sticks for arms, which we assumed had something to do with the Mirror‘s recent report about a snowman crashing a $260,000 Lamborghini Huracan into a garden wall in London on Christmas evening.

The first thought that came to mind when we saw the photos of the gorgeous smashed Lambo that was off-center and lying atop scattered bricks and debris was that maybe Frosty had a bit too much spiked punch at the neighborhood holiday party.

However, as details emerged, U.K. publication The Athletic  revealed that the slippery snowman was actually West Ham United soccer star Michail Antonio, who was dressed head to toe as a snowman, complete with a bright orange felt carrot nose.

Antonio’s stunning Huracan didn’t fare as well as he did following the one-car crash in South London. The Rosina family, which owns the house where the sports star crashed, believe Antonio “must of been driving about 80 MPH” and reported that the 29-year-old athlete and his passengers walked away from the crazy scene without a word.

“When we went out, we thought the driver was going to be hurt really badly because it didn’t look good,” said 20-year-old Kia Rosina to the Mirror. “My mum ran out before me, so by the time I got out of the house, he [had] jumped out of the car in his snowman outfit (below). Once we realized no one was hurt, we were all relieved.”

It’s great news to hear how well the Italian sports car held up and protected its driver and passengers. But that Lamborghini apparently packs a punch, making the Rosina family think that their home was hit by a bus when they first heard the impact.

“Dinner was nearly ready and then I just heard this massive bang and the whole house shook,” Rosina told The Athletic. “There are two bin sheds out there and they’re both bricks, and they went everywhere.”

There was no reason given for Antonio’s “Olaf”-like getup, which he was spotted wearing in an earlier Instagram post, but hey, if you’re gonna pull some crazy stunt like this, donning a snowman costume pretty much guarantees you’re gonna make headlines around the world.

At the same time, you’re also likely to irk some fellow die-hard auto enthusiasts, like some of the folks who left comments below the reports on The Athletic and the Mirror‘s sites.

“Fancy paying 200k for a car and not having a clue how to drive it…should be driving an Escort van!” posted one reader on the Mirror’s site.

“Gutted. What I wouldn’t give to have a Lamborghini…,” wrote another.

“That’ll cost at least a day’s wages to fix,” added one sarcastic reader, noting the soccer star’s high-profile lifestyle and enviable sports career that reportedly earns Antonio approximately $90,000 a week.

Fortunately, Antonio and his passengers walked away unscathed. The homeowners even managed to snap a pic of the athlete in his snowman costume as he was abandoning the Lambo.

According to the local police, on December 25, there was “a report of a car crashed into a garden. Officers attended and a Lamborghini car was found at the scene.

“It was reported that it had left the road and crashed into a road sign and a garden wall. The driver did not require hospital treatment. There were no other reported injuries. There is no police investigation.”

We suspect the star athlete has already written a letter to Santa asking for some new wheels and maybe a few driving lessons.
