Quick Spin: The Ferrari FF
Teamspeed.com member Trax shares with us another great review, this time of the highly controversial Ferrari FF. Trax tells us he drove the four-wheel-drive Ferrari the last time he was down at the factory in Maranello, but the factory chaperone kept literally freaking out every time he got to 100mph. Lucky for us Trax got to another go at the FF to help assist him in his decision making process and we thank him again for sharing this first hand account with the TEAM!
“So had another go in the car yesterday in London. Now everyone has their own view about the design of the car. One thing I can say is that black looked a lot better than the silver one which they showed us at the factory event last February and the red one I drove, but personally I’m still not totally convinced.
However coming to the car itself – its really fast for what is a massive car. By that I mean its clearly slower than the 458 (especially when accelerating from 50 to 80) but it certainly feels much faster than my California. There was something about the standard modes which I didn’t like but with the sport and CT modes the feel was very good and I thought the gear change was actually faster than the 458.
Visibility is certainly fine, even for city driving. The car feels very roomy on the inside and the back seats are certainly usable and not just for under 10s like the Cali.
All in all I was quite impressed with the drive. Many thanks to James and the other at HRO/Ferrari London.”
