Over 1,000 Porsches Expected at U.K. Rally, June 2
High performance GT4’s, Boxsters, and V8-powered 928’s are anticipated at seventh annual ‘Simply Porsche’ event at Beaulieu.
Head to Beaulieu for a Porsche-themed day with Simply Porsche on Sunday June 2. More than 1,000 of the marque’s sports cars are expected. The rally will be held on the grounds of the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu in New Forest, Hampshire, of the United Kingdom.
Held in association with The Independent Porsche Enthusiasts’ Club (TIPEC), Beaulieu’s seventh Simply Porsche will be a season highlight. This event is perfect, whether you’re wanting to see a staggering selection of iconic sports cars, or just would like a great day out at one of the U.K.’s leading visitor attractions.
Last year’s record line-up of 1,620 of the marque ranged from the 1950’s and 1960’s 356, through numerous incarnations of the legendary 911, right up to the latest models. Fans were spoiled for choice as examples of the V8-powered 928, high performance GT4, and open-top Boxster took their places in the show. This year’s line-up is anticipated to be equally exciting.
Event tickets include entry to all of the Beaulieu attraction, including the National Motor Museum with its Chitty Chitty Bang Bang 50 years exhibition and On Screen Cars (including The Jaguar XKR from the James Bond film “Die Another Day”).
At the World of Top Gear exhibit featuring vehicles from the U.K. television series, visitors can feel the thrill of racing round the Dunsfold Park test track in a Caterham and a Bugatti Veyron in the Top Gear simulator.
Simply Porsche is part of Beaulieu’s range of ten Simply rallies. Following Simply Porsche is Simply VW on June 15th and Simply Land Rover & Rummage on June 23rd. The latter half of the year sees Simply Jaguar on July 14th, Simply Japanese on July 28th, the first Simply Mercedes on August 18th, and Simply Smart on November 10th.
