Known for its unique and stunning backdrops, Luftgekühlt is conjuring up some movie magic for its sixth installment.

Few, if any automobile manufacturers enjoy the sort of hero worship bestowed upon Porsche. This is especially true of air-cooled Porsche models, which fans treat almost like a religion. That rabid fanbase has led to events such as Luftgekühlt, which celebrates only the finest air-cooled Porsches in existence each and every year in a wholly unique setting. And for 2019, Luftgekühlt 6 is bringing its traveling magic show to the magic of Hollywood movie sets on May 11.

As usual, Luftgekühlt organizers promise only a carefully curated lot of machinery for attendees to drool over. But this time, they’ll be able to view these magical cars amidst the amazing scenery of the Universal Studios Backlot in Hollywood. Typically reserved only for film crews and tourists, these iconic movie backdrops promise to provide an amazing setting for this group of very special cars.

Details are scarce for now. But organizers have confirmed that the Courthouse Square from Back to the Future will be among this year’s sets. And it all makes perfect sense, given Luftgekühlt’s focus on photographic composition and backdrops at each one of its events. Those elements are, after all, what makes Luftgekühlt so truly unique.

Tickets for the event are already on sale here, but the 8 a.m. session is already sold out. Tickets are still available for the 10 a.m. session, however, so you might want to hurry. After all, organizers promise that his year’s event will be the best one yet. And judging by the couple of teaser images they’ve provided, we’re inclined to believe them!
