Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision GT Gran Turismo Concept Car Unveiled

Lamborghini V12 Vision GT is a futuristic dream machine that features a single-seater cockpit and some mind-bending design elements.

Lamborghini has a history of blowing our minds with things we would never have thought would come from them. This monster is no exception, and we would never have seen such a thing coming. We aren’t mad, though; this car is fantastic.

Automobili Lamborghini revealed their new concept car, the Lambo V12 Vision GT, in Monte Carlo recently. This astonishing concept is in the next Gran Turismo installment for the Playstation 4.  In 2015, Bugatti built the Vision GT for the same reason. Both cars feature track-only design, and crazy aero streetcars don’t often see.

The Lambo V12 Vision GT features a driver-focused single-seater cockpit accessed from the front of the car. While the press release makes no mention of what the actual concept has under the hood, it’s in-game counterpart sports the electric-assisted 775 Horsepower V12 from the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.

“Lamborghini is a very young brand, and this is why we are here today to present our newest virtual vision in the form of a real model, with a highly futuristic and cool design to be enjoyed by the young generation of racing game and super sports car enthusiasts,” says Chairman and CEO, Stefano Domenicali

Though the design is very futuristic outright, it features some cues from the company’s rich heritage. The hexagonal side windows are inspired by the 1968 Lamborghini Marzal; a Bertone designed concept car that would influence the Espada.

Be that as it may, but the primary focus of this car’s design is performance. According to the press release, every part of the design considers aerodynamics.

“It is an opportunity for the design talent within Lamborghini to stretch its wings and visualize a car that, like every Lamborghini, is a head-turner and the best driving experience, but also mirrors Lamborghini’s push on future technologies, particularly in the arena of lightweight materials and hybridization,†said Mitja Borkert, Head of the iconic company’s design team.

While this car will never see production, perhaps something with similar design elements will someday. After all, the Bugatti Vision GT looks a whole lot like the Chiron. One thing is for sure: We’ll undoubtedly be shredding this thing when the next Gran Turismo comes out!
