Lamborghini Gets Wet with New Yacht Collaboration
Lamborghini has always been No. 1 both in speed and stylish luxury, but once you’ve conquered the pavement, you move to the sea.
The only thing flashier than a new exotic supercar, is a yacht. If you already have a collection of rolling exotic, why not step things up a notch and grab some ultra-exclusive watercraft? It’s this particular market of people that has caused many high-end auto manufacturers to team up with yacht companies to design interesting and stylish floating palaces. Mercedes has made multiple Cigarette Racing boats, Aston Martin is going full James Bond with a submarine, and even Lexus got in on the action. Now though, it is time for the most ambitious and flamboyant of Italian supercar makers to join the party.
Meet the Technomar for Lamborghini 63. A joint effort between Italian Sea Group and Lamborghini, this yacht is a celebration of Lamborghini’s heritage and future design direction fused into one. The name is an homage to 1963, the year Lamborghini was founded, and the exterior presentation points directly to where Lamborghini is headed. According to Lamborghini, the main inspiration for this yacht was the Sian FKP 37. That is the new hybrid supercar that the company revealed at Frankfurt last year.
The cockpit of the new sea cruiser is also fully Lamborghini in design. The seat, dashboard, steering wheel, and even the start buttons are pulled straight from Lamborghini’s road cars. It looks wild in the renders, and we can’t wait to see how it looks when these things start hitting the bay at Monaco. As you can see in the video below, Monaco is the exact market Lamborghini thinks this beast will thrive in.
The Technomar for Lamborghini 63 is more than just a study in aggressive visual design. Wearing that Italian bull crest comes with a certain suggestion of performance, and we are happy to say you won’t be disappointed. Crammed into the 63-foot long shell you will find a pair of MAN V12 engines, each producing two-thousand horsepower. With 4,000 horsepower on tap, we aren’t sure why this thing is classified as a boat instead of a torpedo. Top speed is 60 knots, which makes it the fastest machine in the Technomar fleet.
Even weight is kept to a minimum, apparently. We aren’t as well versed on yachts and watercraft as we are cars, but Lamborghini says the 24-ton weight gives this thing an “ultra-lightweight boat classification.” If you’ve been in the market for a high-performance yacht and this Lamborghini is what you want, deliveries are supposed to start in early 2021. As you might expect, the actual color and design of the rig will be completely up to you with thousands of color and livery combinations available, as well as two different interior versions.
We have no information on price, but that isn’t really relevant. As the old adage goes, if you have to ask…
