Okuyama Design Will Help You Ruin an Aventador for Only $2M
If exclusivity is what you’re after, this is it. Oh, and its name, ‘Kode 0,’ is nearly as tacky as the design itself.
Technically the name is “Kode Zero,” which makes us wonder if Coca-Cola is just playing a cruel joke on us. We’re going to give you the lowdown of this ridiculously-overworked raging bull.
That’s right, we said raging bull, because under this hideous design, reminiscent of Nintendo 64’s Cruis’n USA, hides a Lamborghini Aventador. Regardless of how you feel about it, we must mention that Okuyama has the credentials to shut just about anyone up in the automotive-design world. As a former top drafter for Pininfarina, it was Ken Okuyama‘s doodles that birthed the mighty Ferrari Enzo, one of the most iconic prancing horses to ever roll out of Maranello.
The Kode 0 promises to deliver extreme exclusivity, and a higher attention to detail than any other company, not just automotive, in the world. Only five samples will be built, and each one will cost $1.5 million dollars, not including the Aventador. In other words, once all is said and done, the ’80s concept looking car ride will cost you right around $2 million bucks. “Well that makes a lot of sense,” said no one ever.
The powerful 6.5-liter V12 remains untouched and so does most of the interior, sans the steering wheel cover and a handful of trim panels. In other words, Ken Okuyama Design manages to give their ultra-exclusive clients a body kit, an interesting body paint technique, and some pretty cool wheels.
Instead, you could buy an Aventador for the weekend, a Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² for the daily grind, a Rolls-Royce Ghost for formal occasions, and still have about a million bucks left.
What do you say?
