Keanu Reeves Visits Ferrari In 488 GTB Style

It’s well known that movie star Keanu Reeves is a devout Porsche guy, but that doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy a cruise or two in the Ferrari 488 GTB. Of course, you know what they say, right? When in Rome… or Maranello as the case may have been.

Last summer, the most excellent one got a chance to visit Maranello as Ferrari’s special guest for the day, even if he didn’t comb his hair. And according to Ferrari.com, Keanu insisted on seeing everything, including the test track at Fiorano, where he got a chance to take out the Ferrari 488 GTB.

Check out the vid at the bottom, which finds the Speed star getting up to Prancing Horse speed. He doesn’t look a thing like Sad Keanu after this ride. And I’m betting his smile got even bigger after driving the California T, which is pretty much the perfect movie star car. Well, other movie stars maybe, because Keanu isn’t like most movie stars; he’s a one-car guy, and that’s a 911 Carrera 4S, as you can see in a photo below (posing next to the Reeves-designed KRGT-1 motorcyle).

Car monogamy aside, it sounds like Reeves’ time at the wheel of the 488 GTB has moved him slightly in the Italian direction: “It’s a car you instantly feel an incredibly synergy with. It’s like it’s tailored around you, an extension of your body and your mind. There’s no doubt about it: Ferrari is the dream…”

You can really see the dreamy expression on his face in the vid. But while all the track footage and grrrrgggly exhaust notes are dreamy indeed, the best part has to be the Miami Vice-esque soundtrack that makes it all seem like Keanu is just playing another part. Seems like a pretty good part to play, that’s for sure.
