High-Performance Karma Revero GTS Makes a Splash at L.A. Auto Show 2019

Karma Automotive has just unveiled a BMW-powered version of their Revero sedan that can hit 60 in under 4 seconds.

Score one for the home team — Southern California based Karma Automotive has made quite a splash at the L.A. Auto Show. First up is the high-performance version of the Revero model.

We’re live at the show, bringing you the coolest, newest stuff as we find it. The Los Angeles Convention Center is positively packed with awesome new cars.

Karma Automotive, risen from the ashes of Fisker, has re-introduced the latter brand’s Karma as the Revero. Earlier this year, we saw the Revero GT. Now, we’re seeing the Revero GTS for the first time.

The Karma Revero GTS is powered by two electric motors and a BMW Twin Power Turbo three-cylinder gasoline engine. For those wondering, it’s the same engine from BMW’s i8 hybrid sports car.

The two powerplants combine for an impressive 536 horsepower and 635 lb/ft of torque. That’s enough to propel the Revero GTS from zero to 60 in just 3.9 seconds.

The Revero GTS utilizes a launch control system to produce such a quick time on its way to an electronically-limited 130 mile per hour top speed.

Of equal importance to buyers will be the range, which is said to be around 360 miles. Of that, around 80 miles of which is possible with electric power alone.

The Henrik Fisker-designed silhouette of the Revero GTS has remained largely unchanged. It’s a testament to Henrik Fisker’s timeless, stylish design. We really loved this design the first time around, and we’re happy to see it make a comeback.

The new Revero GTS joins the Revero GT, revealed earlier this year, as a high-performance model. The Revero GT is already an impressive performer in its own right, given that it’s more or less an updated version of the Fisker Karma.

The Karma Revero GTS is set to go on sale in early 2020, with a base price of $149,950. Fisker states that the Revero GTS will be built at the $100 million Karma Innovation and Customization Center in Southern California. If you missed the Karma the first time around, now’s your chance to correct your mistake.
