First Look: The 2017 Porsche Panamera
Porsche has finally extracted the ugly right out of the Panamera.
The 2017 model popped up on the glory that is the Chinese Internet and people were quick to point out the impressive differences. The team over at Jalopnik first picked up on the leaked photos.
Gone is the polarizing rear end and in its place is now a more wagon-looking replacement, complete with a stunning sloping roof line. In my opinion, the 2017’s body is the first successful attempt at drawing a design parallel between the 911 and the Panamera.
The front of the car is now much closer to that of its Cayman/Boxter sibling, and now includes two oversize intakes, at least on what appears to be the Turbo model.
The Panamera in the photos also features a rear seat touch screen, taking  a page right out of BWM’s book. The familiar 4 seat arrangement will still be the only offered setup.
The engine looks will be a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8, which should make power just north of the 550 marker.
All things considered, the new design will be a welcome update to the Porsche lineup, and the company should no trouble selling them in drones.
